The Heart of Walnut Country
Through the efforts of our expert team of log buyers, Midwest Walnut selects only the highest quality raw materials. These hardwoods come directly from independent producers across the central United States, long acknowledged to be the finest area for the growing of American Black Walnut.
Fresh cut logs are trucked and railed to our factories, where they are debarked and rough-sawn into lumber.
In response to new environmental regulations, the mid-1970s saw the additional installation of wood burning boilers. Through the use of wood waste, the steam generated by these boilers operates the kilns to make both plants completely self-sufficient in the use of energy. Midwest Walnut continues to update, improve and expand all of our equipment to stay at the forefront of the protection of Americas precious environmental resources.
Reliable Inventory
After a final quality inspection, the product is packaged and prepared for shipment. Shipping is completed via rail, truck or container from each plant to wholesalers, manufacturers and other specialty producers around the world.
With decades of experience, Midwest Walnut is able to boast of an ongoing inventory of several million board feet.
